Save the date, Saturday 21st of September 2013 will be a day to focus on peace and celebrate the message of peace around the world. Expect a day as fun filled as last year!
Recognizing International Peace Day from 2-7pm on Saturday 21st September, this family community event includes music, raffles, entertainment and exhibits for all ages. Join us for this free fun-filled event featuring many creative activities as well as yoga, hula hooping, face painting, and a bouncy castle. Dance and sing along to music by local musicians, Emily Tessmer, Danny Sturtevant and “Angele & the Wildwood Band” and enjoy performances by Inner Rhythms Dance Studio and choruses from SELS, Tahoe Expedition Academy and local preschools. Learn the words to “I’d Like to Teach the World to Sing” and join in as our Tahoe community sings a song for Peace. Also visit the Truckee Community Garden and exhibits by local non-profits who contribute so much to our community
The second annual Tahoe Truckee Peace Prize will be presented to the winner, right here in the park! (click here for details on the Truckee Tahoe Peace Prize)
