Peace Day Celebration in the Park 2012

This year the Truckee Tahoe Peace Project will be presenting the 2nd Annual Peace Day Celebration in the Truckee Regional Park! Save the date, Friday 21st of September 2012 will be a day to focus on peace and celebrate the message of peace around the world. Expect a day as fun filled as last year!

Join us for this FREE fun filled family community event recognizing the importance of peace in our personal lives and in the lives of others. Come and enjoy entertainment by the talented children in our community as well as rocking music by out favorite local musician Emily Tessmer and her band. Performances by Glenshire Elementary, the SELS Chorus and Inner Rythms Dance Studio will bring our focus to peace in a fun and meaningful way. There will be raffles and many creative activities, as well as the presentation of the very first Tahoe Truckee Peace Prize. (click here for details on the Truckee Tahoe Peace Prize)

Also visit the Truckee Community Garden and exhibits by local non-profits who contribute so much to our community!
